What is Hospice of London?


Hospice of London is a charitable not for profit organization dedicated to providing individuals facing a life threatening illness or the loss of a loved one with compassionate care and companionship; recognizing and embracing their unique needs.


How does Hospice of London impact our community?
 

For twenty five years, Hospice of London has provided quality end of life care and bereavement support to hundreds of people living in London and surrounding area.


Do I qualify for Hospice of London services or programs?


If you have recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness, are providing care for someone with a terminal illness, or have lost a loved one within the last year, you qualify for our programs and services.


How do I access Hospice programs and services for myself or a loved one?


There are many ways you can be referred to Hospice. A health care professional, a caregiver, a family member or you can call our office to inquire about our services. Following an initial phone conversation, a client service case worker will make a visit and discuss what programs and services will help improve your quality of life. NOTE: We recommend that if you are calling on behalf of a loved one, you discuss your intensions with them prior to contacting our office.


Where do I go for services?


Hospice clients receive our programs and services in two ways: In their own home OR in our day facility – 837 Talbot Street. Hospice provides all programs and services to our clients at no cost.


Do you have a residential Hospice?


Hospice of London is in the planning stages for building a 10 bed, 24 hour, 7 day a week residential hospice. The total cost to build the hospice is $3 million. We hope to break ground in the near future with an anticipated 8 month building timeline and welcome our first resident soon after. The hospice will be staffed with health care professionals and volunteers offering residents and families a home-like environment with a common kitchen and living room area, playroom for children and private bedrooms.
